Question about tortilla press
Hola,
has anyone here used this type of tortilla press? http://www.ciqcaq.ch/Kueche/tortilla/Maschine_sp.htm http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tegory=20 685 http://www.texastastes.com/p869.htm -- (scroll down) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tegory=13 741 I'm planning a small restaurant that would sell around 200-300 tacos per day and am wondering if this sort of device is easy and efficient enough to handle such a volume. The alternative seems to be to spend around U.S.$10,000 to get a huge machine that would surpass my production needs by a country mile. I live in a country where tortillas effectively don't exist, so buying them from a vendor would not be possible. Gracias anticipadas |

Question about tortilla press
I haven't used it but I do have a question. One of the things that makes a
standard tortilla press so easy to use is the fact that you can easily put two sheets of plastic grocery bag wrap for non stick capability. This machine looks like it might be hard to keep the masa from sticking to the rollers, unless you went to the trouble to make plastic strips. Really, the standard tortilla press works just fine. And you can get pretty fast with it. |
