Hi,
This was a recipe given to me by a friend of 30 years.....


12oz mixed fruit
6oz sugar
1/2 pint milk
6oz margerine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon mixed spice
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 eggs
11oz flour

Put all in a large saucepan EXCEPT the eggs and the flower and bring
to the boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Allow to cool. Beat in the eggs and
flour. Put into an 8 inch greased cake tin. Put in a pre-heated oven
gas mark 3 for 2 hours.
