I would think a simple syrup with vanilla extract added in could be
mixed to taste with seltzer or club soda (depending on whether or not
you want sodium--I used seltzer) would do the trick. Any basic
cookbook has simple syrup recipes, usually light, medium, and heavy;
all it is, is water, preferably spring water, and granulated white
sugar. Good luck!
