Default What about a North East US Cook-in?

We've had 'em in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Western
Massachusetts, so now it's time for one in Rhode Island. I was
contemplating Labor Day, so we could have it on a Sunday, and allow
folks plenty of time to come and go.

If you're interested in helping plan and organize this little fete,
reply to me personally, the address is live, and we can see what
develops.

I assume you've considered the possibility that Sheldon might show up at one
of these, if he manages to slip past the asylum attendants. Do you own a
gun?

Joe,

Of course she does! Who in their right mind doesn't own a gun???! My Sig
P220 is always within reach and the .357 S&W I-640 is always strapped on
when in public.

We'll set up the metal detector at the top of the street. And I'm
moderately certain that in person, Shelly is a real sweetheart.

Oh! It's past my bedtime. I must have been hallucinating....

No, you're probably not hallucinating at all: when met in person, also the
worst trolls come out to be good boys. It happened to me when I met the
italian kitchen NG's resident troll at a wine-NG gathering. Nice chat with a
nice person, and he also introduced me to a *really* great butcher (supplier
of restaurants "Enoteca Pinchiorri", "Le Calandre" and many other of the
best italian ones).
Only downside of it? I can no longer insult him on the NG's as I did before

Sue, I can't imagine you insulting anyone ... at least in public!

What are the details concerning this cook-in? I missed the rest of this
thread.

I will contact Maxine to ask about the details.
