I've never seen "Blind Robins Smoked Ocean Herring" but I have enjoyed
what is effectively anchovy jerky from a Chinese grocery.

As for the sauerkraut juice, if you drain sauerkraut to sell the
juice, how do you preserve the sauerkraut itself? Can it be dried and
rehydrated later?

I think when you package sauerkraut you end up with leftover
juice, sorta like pre-consumer recycling of paper products.

I've always wondered why Campbell's doesn't market tomato juice
as a sports drink. It's got all the potassium and sodium.
Pickle juice is supposed to help with endurance, but I think
that's just because vinegar helps you burn fat and not anything
special about pickle juice itself.

Well okay the fat burning thing isn't proven but vinegar is good
for other reasons too.
