Pizza Crust
 
I like to make home made pizza but I don't as often as I would like due to
not having enough time.
I would like to make several batches of pizza dough and freeze them for
later.
Can I freeze pizza crust dough and still get a quality pizza? Should I
freeze the dough raw or bake it (w/ no toppings) first?

You can freeze it raw; freeze it partially topped and baked, or freeze
it fully topped and baked. Your choice. However you decide to do it,
if you freeze the raw dough, make sure it stays tightly wrapped until
it is fully thawed...thaw in the fridge. Frozen raw dough should be
used within a month or so; partially topped and baked or fully topped
and baked can be frozen for a longer period, at least that's what I've
heard.

Our local Italian bakeries sells pizza dough. Sometimes they freeze the dough.
Just take it out and thaw it and it is ready to go.

I buy it in the supermarket, no brand, just what they make in their
bakery, be it onsite or off. They do sell brand name pizza dough
over by the frozen pizzas, as well. Freezes fine.

I just use frozen bread dough. It's cheap, easy and tastes good.

As far as I know, it's basically the same thing. You can form it into a loaf and
make bread. You can form it into balls and make rolls, or you can spread it out and
make a pizza. Come to think of it, you could roll it out, spread sugar, cinnamon,
nuts and butter and make Chelsea buns.

As for the price.... our bakery sells it for $1.50, which I always wonder about
because a loaf of their excellent Italian bread is only $1.40.

No, you make fried pizza dough! Roll it out, cut it into
strips, fry it in some oil, sprinkle with sugar. Serve.

Some people just don't know what to do with leftover
pizza dough. Sad, really.

Pizza dough can make really great donuts! Roll out the pizza dough, and use
a donut cutter
to cut out some donuts. Then deep fry them.

They're wonderful with cinnamon sugar, or something fancier like a chocolate
glaze.

Fried pizza dough it's very good. When I want some appetizer I prepare a
light tomato sauce. Then I cut some disks and fry them. I put over the
tomato sauce and if you want some reggiano cheese. VERY VERY GOOD!!!
