http://www.courierpostonline.com/app...08/1004/LIVING Wednesday, April 26, 2006 Servings: varies Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups extra thin pretzels, crushed 3/4 cup butter, melted 3 tablespoons sugar, plus 3/4 cup sugar 8-ounce package cream cheese 8-ounce container whipped topping 8-ounce can crushed pineapple 2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry gelatin dessert mix 2 cups boiling water 2 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries Whipped cream or whipped topping to garnish Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Crust: Mix the pretzels, butter and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Press into a 9-by-13-inch pan and bake for 7 minutes. Set aside to cool. Salad: In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar. Fold in whipped topping and pineapple. Spread over crust. Refrigerate until well chilled. Add gelatin to boiling water and stir until dissolved. Allow to cool slightly. Add strawberries and pour over the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until the gelatin mixture sets.
