What's funny is I pick up these kind of cookbooks at flea
markets for about 25-50 cents a piece. Normally closer
to 25 :)

That's what I do, some people are prepared to pay a few extra quid to
have the books bought for them and delivered to their door.

Paul.

If you feel strongly about this, file a
complaint with eBay (you'll have to start
an account to do this, but it doesn't
cost anything). They pull the listings,
and may pull the account.

I just thought someone in here could be interested in them, this
being a cooking group & my books being cooking books.

Was intended to be treated as spam.

Paul.

We can find our own cooking books, whether it be on eBay or the whatnot
bookstore down the street. We don't appreciate SPAM (as in, someone trying
to make a profit) from this newsgroup. I'm sure if anyone is interested
they will find your books on their own.

Unless you have a recipe to share or some cooking experience (other than
selling books), I suggest you go away.

OB Food: Harvest Mashed Potatos (courtesy of my friend Sharon)

4 large red or russet potatoes (2 pounds)
2 medium-size sweet potatoes (1½ pounds)
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 T. prepared horseradish
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Bake sweet potatoes until tender, peel and mash. Cook russet potatoes (cut
large ones in half) in a Dutch oven in boiling salted water to cover until
tender; peel and mash or press through ricer and combine with sweet
potatoes. Add 1/2 cup butter and remaining ingredients; mash with a potato
masher or mix with electric mixer briefly until smooth. Place in baking
dish and bake at 325F until heated through and starting to brown on top.
Serve topped with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Yield: 8
servings.

Jill

Are you harvesting already, Jill? We still have ice on the lake here :-)

These look good. I love horseradish in mashed, but have never mixed in sweet
potatoes (yet).
