Default Poll: How do you eat your Cadbury Cream Egg

I break it open & scoop out the cream with a tiny spoon & then eat the
chocolate shell. How 'bout you?

I bite the top, suck and slurp, and bite some more, then try not to
get it all over me.

I do something between the two of you, I bite off the top and scoop it out
with my tongue, and suck and slurp, the eat the rest of the shell.

I bite off some of the shell, eat the inside, then the rest of the
chocolate. Or sometimes I just eat the whole thing.

I give them to James and then look away so I don't have to watch while
he eats them.

I was given a couple of these with the tiny spoons back in 2000. I still
have them. I ate one. If anyone wants the other one, I'll offer it (with
tiny spoon) on eBay for $10,000. (laughing)

I don't. Never have seen the value in the gooey, white not-so-creamy
center. Ick.

One of the few candies I simply cannot stand is those Cadbury eggs. I
hate jordan almonds and spice drops too. Other than that, I can handle
Necco wafers, Charleston Chews, Walgreens brand chocolate, candy corn,
carob and even those orange circus peanut things once in a while,
amongst other widely disliked candies. But those eggs, those friggin'
eggs, make me sick. They were the first candy I remember disliking as a
kid. They were chocolate and sugar held together with fat, and I didn't
like them. I felt very conflicted over that for quite a while, as those
were more or less my three food groups at the time.

That was a funny story. I'm not sure I've ever had one, and don't
plan to try it. Do have to get some peeps, just out of tradition. Not
crazy about them, either.

Can't stand jelly beans, jordan almonds ... except for chocolate, you
can have most Easter candy. Still would like to find some of those
speckled malted egg things. I'm sure they have a name.

Oh, those peeps are nasty! I don't mind jelly beans so much. When I was a
kid I used to suck the coating off them and then bite the jelly inside. I
never liked the jordan almonds either. Oh, and those waxy chocolate
bunnies, you can keep! But, yeah, those speckled malted egg
things..........oh, yeah!

I bite off the top, use right index finger to get at the cream. Once
cream has been licked off my finger I eat the rest of the shell.

They're not my favorite by far, I was much happier when I could get
DOVE eggs but I haven't seen them in the last couple of Easters. No
great fondness for Laura Secord eggs either.

I'll admit that I do have a fondness for the kind of hard shell colored
candy eggs that I used to hide for the kids.

I like the occasional Peep. There is a similar thread to this in
alt.gossip.celebrities and a few people are claiming that the Cadbury
eggs available in the UK are considerably better than the ones
available here. I hope so. British kids deserve good candy.

I don't know the specific name of those things, either. I do know that
I love them. I think they're just called malted eggs or something.

Well, I don't, Denise. Those are the province of my daughter. I, OTOH,
learned (in a dream, doncha know) that it is my Holy Christian Duty
(you can ask Margaret) to, um, liberate the Hershey Chocolate Covered
Marshmallow Eggs from their lavender wrap and FREE them forever!

I don't. Those things are disgusting.
We always had Laura Secord Easter eggs. but Laura Secords was bought out
by an American company, and it just doesn't seem right to have a product
named for a Canadian hero of the War of 1812 owned by the enemy.

Spoon?? I just lick out the insides, then eat the shell (same with the
Cadbury caramel eggs).

Hubby went up to NJ a few weeks ago and brought back some treats from
Delicious Orchards. Besides the usual yummy apple cider donuts, he also
brought me some chocolate-covered cherries, cashew and peanut brittle, and a
1-lb solid dark chocolate bunny, all made by either Old Monmouth or
Delicious Orchards. Best chocolate bunny I've ever had!!

Bite the small end off, suck/lick the middle out, then eat the
outside. I loooooove Cadbury eggs.

"Cadbury?* Call me a food snob, life is too short for Cadbury's
so-called chocolates.

Derrick bought us a Pink Lady egg this morning. On Monday I want to go
to Camberwell to buy shoes, so we'll pop in to The Chocolate Box and see
what's available in the way of discounted Easter eggs. And of course
next week is when Haigh's smash up the Easter eggs and sell bags of
chocolate pieces, so Derrick's going on a little excursion to the city.
