I had to drive to Dallas (didn't take my razor or my gun, though) to
take notes for a writing project. I got a glass of pinot noir and a
salad at Cafe Express. Did some corporate beast buy them out? Boy
they ain't what they used to be in my opinion. Maybe I've raised my

D's working late. I haven't seen her since 9 this morning. Like
James McMurtry sings: "Post it notes, opposite shifts. Once in a blue
moon we wake up in the same room, thankful for these thy many gifts."
Well it's not gotten that bad, actually. But still...

I spoke to her on the cell phone while I was en route to the city, and
after being assured that I'd fed the pooches, she said something about
a wrap for dinner.

Jeeze where did all this work come from?
