That ad about their evening shows, they have a guy with a
tall cake falling over, there is a song. Is it J. Giles Band?
It's driving me nuts.

Beeee with me, in the nighttime!

I tried to help you out Nancy even though I don't think i've seen the
promo of which you speak.
I ran iTunes and searched J.Giles Band hoping maybe I could get a
similar title and then listen to the sample... no luck... no J.Giles on
iTunes that I could find (a lyric search using "be with me in the
nighttime" turned up nothing either). Looks like you're just going to
have to suffer the earworm (if the song is stuck in your head) until
someone recognizes it. Good luck! Kev

(laugh!) That's it! Thank you. You know I really strained my head
for a couple weeks now, WHO IS THAT? Finally, thought, maybe
it's who sang Centerfold!

I feel better now. Thank you again.

Thank you for looking, why does stuff like that get
in your head, I don't know.

Because you're spelling it wrong. It's J. Geils.

I can never remember whether it's ei or ie, I had to look it up.

I haven't seen the commercial, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
In the meantime, your lyrics are similar to an old George Thoroughgood song,
which says "I wanna beeeeee with you...in the nighttime!"
You might be able to get a listen to it at allmusic.com and see if that's
it.

That would be Peter Wolf? He released a new CD last year that's
surprisingly good.

I used to do stage lighting for a band that did a lot of their
songs many moons ago. Night after night. You wanna talk about
hearing them over and over in your sleep...

Yes! He was married to whatsername, one of the most unlikely
unions I can remember. Faye Dunaway? Perhaps I made that
up.

New CD, I'd probably like it. I'll check it out.

The term for that phenomenon is "ear woms," and it's an apt (and
descriptive) term if ever there was! Just like a worm boring its way into
your ear, into your brain; and one that won't go away, no matter HOW hard
you try to remove it.

And, in my experience, the song is *always* something horrible. I once
had Prince's "Raspberry Beret" stuck in my head for two days.

Of course! It probably wouldn't be memorable if you had a song you
liked stuck in your head. My "wrist slitter" is Horse With No Name by
America. <groan>

I'd turned on my speakers to hear the clip, didn't turn them
off. This game I play has animated ads, I didn't know it also
had sound. Some free emoticon suddenly jumped and yelled
at me So SAY something!!!

Have I mentioned that I'm easily startled?

That is one of the two worst songs ever written. It's co-horror is
MacArthur's Park. I don't know which is worse, but MacArthur's Park
might win out b/c it's longer.

"In the desert, you can't remember your name, 'cause there ain't no
one for to give you no pain."

"Someone left the cake out in the rain. I don't think that I can take
it, cause it took so long to make it, and I'll never have that recipe
agaAAAAAIN."
