I thought it might be fun to share recent food finds. My favorite new
food of '05 is lotus root. I recently moved to a town with a lot of
Asian markets, so I've been experimenting with all kinds of new foods.
Bok choy and Chinese broccoli are two other new finds. But I've had
lotus root cooked in pork soup, stir fried, and simmered in chicken
broth with garlic and ginger. It's got good crunch and a nice earthy
flavor.
