OOPS, reminds me of the time i posted a recipe calling for 2 cups of
flower. Or how i used to sign myself "Joseph Count de Money" until one
day i accidentally left the "o" out of "Count".

"Bulbenik" - I just love the sound of this word, but have no idea what it
means, or when it should be used. Enlighten me, please?

Thank you both. I think I'll have to add this word to my vocabulary.

Joseph, Thank you for trying to help me and Thank you, Bob, for coming
to my assistance. This will teach me not to try and be funny, even
though I could really use a replacement......

I'm sorry to hear that. But would you really want a chilled one <g>

I think you're always cheeky, though... (that's a good thing)

Thank you very much. I hope you have a wonderful New Year, too. Are you
doing anything special for New Year's Eve? My sister and her family are
coming over - and since it's now after 2 on Saturday morning here, I'd
better get to bed. I have to be up early to shop for food and finish
cleaning the house..

I can bring the tamales and rompopo (Honduran eggnog) - tis the season
for that stuff here.

I won't comment on that discussion since I'm the on the flip side of
the immigration/language issue.

And to think! i forgot to mention the water mellon with a couple of
quarts of vodka poured in and chilled. Whats that called? South shore
martini? when served there and some other more colorful name when
consumed by frat boys on spring break?

OK, guys, skootch over so we can squeeze in another one. The argument
appears to be going strong still -- I'm guessing about 10 minutes
reading will get you up to snuff.

I'm not sure that there *is* a flip side. What's the difference?

Of course, there is one big difference, people leaving the US take money
with them, people entering the US sometimes have very little money.

Flip side of the learning language issue, not the money issue.....
Latinos in the US and Gringos in Latin America ......it works both ways
on ability and opportunity to learn the second language. Nuff said. I
won't discuss the issue further in this newsgroup.

Sorry, I guess I didn't understand the definition of flip. Now that you
mention it, I guess I do. I'll try harder next time.
