Default Do you Senseo?

Anyone have a Senseo... do you like/hate it? I'm contemplating acquiring one
but would first like to hear first hand comments. I have already read all the
[33] reviews at eopinions.com, but to be honest, I found most of them
contrived, not very honest (most folks tend to be supportive when it's their
money spent).

It seems the Senseo commercial comes on the TV more and more often, I kind of
like it, in a 'sick' sort of way (they all seem genuinely retarded, especially
that black guy). From the facial expressions it seems, to me, that they are
selling a masturbatory device rather than a coffee brewer. I like the zoftig
broad in the sateen nightgown, the one shown early on and then again at the
end... great cleavage.

So, do I toss all my coffee brewing equipment and buy a Senseo, or not?

If it's the one with the "brewing pods" of pre-measured coffee,
I wouldn't throw out the current brewing equipment. You'll
need it again when they stop making the pods due to lack of
major demand in a few years. It happens all the time with
specialized equipment like that.

Yeah, well I had already consided that, as I automatically do with all new
gizmos, but I'm not really concerned with 10 years from now... besides, I can
remember when folks like you said exactly the same thing about that new fangled
product, the tea bag. I guess your response means you don't have a Senseo. I
really would prefer to hear from those who do have and use the unit, from folks
with *actual experience* as I'm thinking more in terms of hearing informed
responses regarding brewed coffee quality, ease of use... objective comments...
not Henny-Penny type the world is coming to an end dooms day negativism. It's
a friggin' coffee maker, not the atomic bomb.... sheesh!

So, does anyone actually know first hand? I'm really not interested in
speculation... OTB is full with such losers.

So, if your ISP's TOS says

-----begin quote-----
Respect other users of the system. Feel free to express yourself, but do not
do anything to injure or harm others. In particular, if you dislike someone
else's ideas, you may attack the ideas, *but not the person*. We want people
to speak freely on our system. But if you misuse that freedom and abuse
others, we will take the liberty of cutting that discussion short.
----end quote----

and

-----begin quote-----
For instance: You may not harass or threaten anyone. Copyrights are still
copyrights. Libel is still libel. You may not plan, conspire to commit, or
commit a crime. None of these issues has anything to do with our service or
the Internet. Each is a violation of existing criminal law.
-----end quote-----

Are you violating your ISP's with your post?

I'm only curious because, after that whole "I'm glad someone reported you"
thing with Terry, here you are not only posting OT (an act you claim you
despise) but posting in a manner which seems contrary to your ISP's TOS. It
all seems so...confusing to me.

Not at all. I was quoting Sheldons post from one of the Steve
Kramer threads. You didn't recognize that prose?

Yes, but I thought you were imitating rather than plagiarizing. I think,
however, plagiarism is also a violation of your ISP's TOS.

Please - spare me the lectures.

Lecture? Where was the lecture? I asked a question. I only provided the
quotations as reference. References are good.

yawn You'll get over it, I'm sure.

Get over what?

I don't know about tossing your old equipment, but my cousin was here
from Europe a couple of months ago and she had one at that time (they
weren't available here yet). She LOVES it. She drinks coffee morning
noon and night. I wouldn't worry too much about the pods, it looks
like they are just Douwe Egberts coffee (the *best* coffee, imho) and
they have been around for hundreds of years. You could always go
through a European importer to buy more if for some reason they become
unavailable.

To be honest, the coffee is the secret -- try to buy some Douwe
Egberts and brew it in your regular coffee machine. It's worth the
money and there are some good dutch importers, like Vanderveens who
carry it.

YMMV.
