Yes, love those Indian sweets, but don't enjoy stirring every few minutes
and watching the bottom of the pot.
Thanks, tho.

I have a widget that does it for me. It sounds as if it'd be useless
and just one of those things that'd wind up at a garage sale, but when
I am making custard for ice cream base, or lemon filling for pie of
any puddings, this thing is invaluable. I love it.

G'day Ronnie,

When I was in southern India years ago I tried some of those Indian
confections made largely on reduced milk (IIRC 8-).

I thought this might have been one of them, but it appears it's served
as a liquid rather than a "lolly"?

Do you have a good recipe for the "lolly" style? (Though I guess that
would mean even *longer* stirring -- I wonder if those gizmos
mentioned by Boron would be available here in Oz. ;-)

[Added aus.food to Newsgroups for any feedback on that.]

Cheers, Phred.
