Default Lexington, MI - Restaurant Report

Lexington, MI is a quaint, touristy type, very pretty town. You can get
there by waterway or highway. Either way it is well worth the trip. We
went by water and docked at the marina overnight. If going by water be
sure to call ahead as this marina has a limited number of transient
slips and does not take reservations.

We had dinner at The Landing Saturday night. This restaurant is fairly
new. It overlooks the marina so the view is gorgeous. The atmosphere
is very pleasant. Attire is dress casual to some of the younger ones in
shorts. They have quite a few specials Saturday night. I had the all
you can eat crab legs. They were served with 2 hushpuppies, coleslaw,
drawn butter, and a loaf of piping hot, melt in your mouth bread. I
wasn't impressed with the hushpuppies especially when I tried to cut one
and it bounced onto the floor The coleslaw was good. The crab legs
were awesome! DH had the prime rib that came with a baked potato, sour
cream, and vegetables. The place is still waiting to be licensed so no
alcoholic drinks were available. The service was friendly and very
quick. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would
suggest making a reservation if planning to eat there on a Saturday night.

Sunday morning we ate breakfast at Whimpy's. This is a cute little
diner style restaurant. It is very small but the service is extremely
friendly from the moment you open the door. We had the breakfast
special which consisted of 2 eggs, potatoes coins, meat of choice,
toast, and coffee. While the breakfast is not anything fancy, it is
very good and well worth the visit.
