Default Woks and Downdraft cooktops

I can't imagine any down draft system being capable of properly
exhauasting stir frying, not unless you have baby sized woks.

Downdraft vents don't work well for any kind of cooking let alone wok
cooking which can produce large quantities of smoke and vapors.

thank you all for your answers.
i will be keeping the hood above the oven
and relocating the convection/microwave away from the cooktop.

now the question is whether to bother with a downdraft oven at all since
i am forced to retain the hood.
