google problems

Google hasn't updated any listings for me since yesterday morning.
Anyone else have this problem?

Don't exactly know what you mean - but when I tried to post to Usenet
this am, I got a "database problem - try again later" message. I'm
guessing it has something to do with Druids and a sacrifice of some
kind or other.

Yes, me, too. I made a complaint (using their "help" site under "show
options", ) late last night, and today, the listings havea started to
appear again.

I guess they're still working on their software. Google Groups is a
'beta' site, they say. They sent me a note: "We've made some changes
recently that may have resolved this problem with newsgroups not
updating. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please let us know if
this error persists." -aem

I got an invite to join Google mail, aem. Frankly, they scare me, and
I want no part of it. Paranoid, I guess. BTW, if you haven't joined
the "Google hacking" crowd, I seriously invite you to do so. Good
grief, what a minefield idiots have left in their wake! And it's all
there for eternity. All ya have to do is register and get a Google
key. Then you can get some free software which will mine the internet
to your heart's content. I'll have to check the bookmarks at work and
forward the info. Free entertainment, times a thousand. Well,
actually, it's limited to 1,000 searches per 24 hour period. Wow,
what a limitation.

Google sent a reply to my note too.

Thank you for your note. We've made some changes recently that may have

We appreciate your support as we work to improve Google Groups beta.

Tell you what, Sheldon. I WISH I had had the cash to invest in the
google startup, way back when. Holy cow, talk about free money!
DANG!

Don't use it. Haven't checked it out because I don't need any more
mail addresses.

No thanks! Absolutely the last thing I need is a way to spend even
more time at the computer. -aem

Sure, nothing unusual. As far back as I can
remember google groups has had a couple of
burp days per year. They've even displayed
in scrambled order stuff months old every
so often. It's free and I get more than I
pay for.

It happens often enough that I put all posts
into my cut-n-paste region if it's something
I would repeat if it failed.

I figured Google is the Druids and there was a
Viking raid. Dragon ship gone, fires out, all
is well today. ;^)
