Thanks to you all for your support - I mean it.
I haven't checked the thread in alittle while, and I may not for a
while. Frankly, I'm just grateful about how things turned out and I'd rather not talk or read about it for a little bit. I never dreamed that you could all be so much help to me. (sniff!). This was quite a few days. The weekend started out with the death of my favorite cousin's son in a motorcycle accident. Now I'm down again with the liver problems. But having a day off, even sick, has been good for me. I was layin' there a while ago, boxer dog snoozing beside me, when my well-worn Bible that I have neglected too much lately was staring at me. When I first got diagnosed about a year ago, it was a great comfort to me. So, at the risk of making someone angry, I'm gonna post this anyway. You all really helped me and I feel a lot better. The anger has pretty much been replaced by gratitude. I know the old illness will get me soon, but this helped me a lot - just found it again today: Ps 119:71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes. Ps 119:72 The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver {pieces.} Ps 119:73 ¶ Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments. Ps 119:74 May those who fear You see me and be glad, Because I wait for Your word. Ps 119:75 I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me. Ps 119:76 O may Your lovingkindness comfort me, According to Your word to Your servant. Ps 119:77 May Your compassion come to me that I may live, For Your law is my delight. |

The anger has pretty much been replaced by gratitude. I know Nobody angry here. You do what you can to help your health, mentally and physically. I read this NG everyday, but for some reason I totally missed your post about your daughter. I know the worry will never go away, but I think you now habve a reason to brethe better when she leaves the house. That one tough "small" girl. Jeese, I sure hope that guy thinks twice the next time he thinks 105 pound 16 year olds girls are defenseless. hehe. The thought of it is baffling. Taking her to Tae Kwan Do, You did good Dad! I'll have to remember to do something like this when my child(ren) gets old enough for it. Have positive thoughts & Things will get better. |
