Steve Kramer is safe at home !

He replied from his home in chiang mai. Said they felt the earthquake but
nothing fell off the shelfs.
That's a relief !

Yep, I heard from him too. Thankfully he and Nobuko were not on a dive
trip. The sheer devastation is unbelievable. And, the number of lives lost
notwithstanding, it will likely take years for survivors to pick up with
their lives and their livlihoods again.

That's a relief. With all the news about Thailand being affected, I was
certainly hoping he was safe.

The devastation is incredible throughout S.E. Asia. I am familiar with the
coastline south of Colombo in Sri Lanka and just can't recognize the places.
Plus, the railroad tracks run right along the beach, just to add to all the
other debris.

I told Steve to head for high ground and keep the elephant gassed.

I am glad they were fine, I was afraid they would be on a trip to one of those
fabulous beaches. Good to hear hear he is safe.
