RECIPE: Cranberry cookies

If you gotta have cranberries for Thanksgiving, and you live in a
household of cranberry haters, try this cookie recipe. I make them
around Christmas because the look festive and are a nice change from the
more usual chocolate chip (etc.) cookies:

Cranberry Cookies
(from Betty Crocker Recipe Card Library, 1971)

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp orange juice
1 egg
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts
2 1/2 cups (1 bag) coarsely chopped frozen cranberries

Heat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugars, stir in remaining
ingredients. Drop by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased
cookie sheets and bake 10 to 15 minutes.

Best regards,
Bob

Those sound really good, Bob! I think I'll make them over the weekend. I
love cranberries and stock up during the season. I think I have 10 or so
bags in the freezer.

You know what else I like? Cranberry Nut Muffins. No recipe, I
don't bake, but I buy them every time I see them.

Those really brighten up a morning. I like orange zest and juice added
into the mix as well.
