Is that an orange in there?Â* It looks like your compost could have used
more...composting time.

Nope! This is the way Mother Gaia does it!

It was last year's Compost, I got it all up and spread! And then Mother Gaia rained on it!

No one cares about your compost. You are not the only person on the
planet (or even on this ng) who does composting. Your "garden" over the
years has been a few small tomato plants and maybe a bell pepper or two.
Grown right near the front of your house (which is why you moved the
compost, as if we should throw you a parade for using a wheelbarrow to
move shit around).

I don't claim to be a gardener but I recognise knowelegeable gardeners
when I read posts from them. They have actual gardens growing a variety
of things. If you really wanted a "Veggie Garden" you'd have found a
way to use that silly tire rut in yard behind your house, the one you
call "Kuthe Creek", expand on it in rows, build up the soil between the
rows for the plants. Irrigation. It's gardening 101.

You can also pee on the compost to help it along. Mother gaiaa has
certain substances in urine that works great.

Some folks in asia actually shit in their compost. Maybe rock man
can tell us more.

Looks like you have some water on your camera lens which is causing a fuzzy spot on the image. We've been getting some rain over here. People on this side of the rock have been getting alerts on their phones warning us of flash flooding. This has been happening several times a day for the last 3 days. It's a very strange thing to be happening. OTOH, it's still a lot better than getting an alert of immediate danger of a rain of nuclear missiles any day.

One can always think of something better. Leg amputated? I'd rather have a pedicure! OTOH, most alerts are better than a nuclear missile attack on a tiny rock in the middle of nowhere.

They are unbalanced, much higher in nitrogen than phosphorus. That can
result in tomatoes that grow like crazy, but produce less fruit. I buy
pure sodium tripoliphospahate anyway, and I do add that to the soil once
the tomatoes show any hint of flowering.

For my primocane bearing blackberries, I like to top dress with compost
in late winter, then add phosphorus a few months later. I don't care so
much if I get less floricane berries, because the birds get a lot of
those anyway. The birds aren't really around later in the year when the
primocanes get berries.

That's hogwash. Israeli anti-missile technology has greatly reduced the threat of stuff like that.
