Thousands of women were making cloth masks because masks were necessary and we didn't want to interfere with the supply. I can't imagine how you missed all that. Meanwhile rump was not wearing a mask and it was almost daily news that he refused to wear a mask and said they were not necessary. Locally there was a lot of bitching and moaning that states were no mandating mask wearing and that duty fell to mayors. The white house sponsored news/health reports had rump standing behind his scientific spokespeople reading 'reports' that we had been able to read earlier that were direct from the science groups. Shortly thereafter various science groups were down graded and members fired because they didn't line up properly behind rump story. I don't read social media at all.
