a simple bread pudding
old pancakes, well buttered, a few eggs, beaten with
extra milk and a few teaspoons of sugar, dried tart cherries. microwaved until the center was done. i think i'm going to eat all of this for lunch. the added sugar is just enough that i don't really notice it and that provides some counter balance to the tart cherries. i was hungry for something like a bread pudding or french toast and Mom wouldn't ever touch something like this but it is perfect for what i was hungry to have. :) no picture, it doesn't look anything different than you'd expect from what i wrote above, sitting in a small glass bowl half-eaten and propped on my chest as i type this - the spoon at a jaunty angle up to the right. songbird |
