The biggest single reason for the disparity is the majority of the black
people don't want the vaccine. They don't trust it.
There are numerous ways to sign up. You name is chosen at random, no
information as to race is available and no way to pass over a person. If
you are called and do not have transportation they will arrange it for
you. Every possible excuse is covered.

Yes, there is distrust among Blacks, and to some extent, Hispanics,

You didn't but the person that originally complained did. She made the
accusation that the people were looking at addresses and putting them
back if it was a black area.

My SIL's husband's father just died from it. I got my dog due to Josh
dying from it. Several co-workers have had it and one is not
recovering well at all. Another one died that works in my building from
it.

If you don't know anyone who has had it, look here. One of us had it.

In Manatee county everyone has the same opportunity to get on the list.
You don't need internet, you don't need a car. You need to use your
brain just a little. You have to WANT to be.

Not my problem if you don't believe in vaccines. Not my problem if you
don't trust doctors. It is voluntary, not mandatory. I don't see how
race plays into that.
Personal responsibility does.
Best you can do is call me names? I'm an equal opportunity asshole if

i don't know if i had it or not, i will get the vaccine when
i can get it. a lot of people in my family have either had it
or people have gotten sick and some have died from it. i don't
want to go through that at all.

from what i have seen there's a pretty good chance the numbers
are skewed the other way instead, due to the fact that the disease
does show so many different ways of disrupting people's bodies
and also that many people are not reporting it if they do get
sick.

Apparently some people get infected and can transmit it, yet have
no symptoms and don't even know unless they happen to be tested.

i don't know if i had it or not, i will get the vaccine when
i can get it. a lot of people in my family have either had it
or people have gotten sick and some have died from it. i don't
want to go through that at all.

They gave them here at the beach (convention center) last week. I never
heard about it until after the fact on the local news.

Supposed to register amd then you get an appointment on when to go.
You don't just 'line up'. They are still working 'First Responders'.
Next is probably postal workers and grocery store folks. We regular
folks will be lucky if even with prexisting conditions and Hubby at age
70, gets one before April.

BTW, I get it with the grocery clerks, especially cashiers. Mailmen,
not so much as they just stick mail in boxes and rarely are within 6
feet of any actual people.

If you work at the counter in the PO you probably contact 200 people a
day. In the morning before they start delivery they are side by side
sorting mail

A postal sorting station just outside of Toronto has had a massive
Covid19 outbreak. There were 273 workers who tested positive last month.

Ontario went into lockdown staring Dec.26. New infection numbers had
been rising steadily. In Niagara we had been seeing 15-20 new infections
a day, but then the started rising rapidly and were over 150 a day a
couple weeks ago but then started moving down. We have been under 100 a
day for a week and today it was down to 34.

My wife and I are over seventy. We have made it nearly a year with no
vaccination available. We follow the accepted protocols. We are not
gregarious.
I am not willing to jump through hoops for a shot. Get on a list. Get
notified with a date and time. Drive five miles and sit within a long line of
cars. Nope. Every shot given to someone else reduces our chance of getting
covid anyway.
We will schedule shots when the current hysteria subsides, or we will get
covid and...

It's a revolving trend. The numbers go up and cities or states go on
lock down. Soon as the numbers start going down, they ease restrictions
and the numbers go up again. People really *are* that stupid.

Don't rely on what your "leaders" tell you what to do. Use common sense
and be smarter than the average bear. For now, just stay home and wear a
mask to a grocery store. If you're feeling all lonely with the public
isolation, just deal with it.

I didn't say that but early morning line was very short. By afternoon,
they showed people in a very long all around that Convention Center
parking lot (it's a big one)

If you do, perhaps the vaccine will cure some of the others here that

That's like the sales of gas guzzlers and the price of gas. When the
price of gas goes up everyone dumps their pickups and gets smaller cars.
When the price drops they run out and get another truck.

We have been in lock down for a month, since Boxing Day. New infections
in Niagara had been about 20 per day for months but then climbed after
Thanksgiving. They were worried about Christmas gatherings so the lock
down started the day after. Within two weeks were were to about 150 per
day. Now we are back down to the 30s.

One bad experiment was locking down the hot spots. Toronto and
surrounding regions were locked down in the late fall. As we had
expected, the people from those areas headed out of town to regions
where they could shop and eat in restaurants. Then our rates started to
soar.

Since we've been consistently lied to and played for fools by our (Democratic) "leaders" and hysteria - driven liberal/left MSM, that is sound advice...
