There were 273 workers who tested positive last month. Ontario went into lockdown staring Dec.26. New infection numbers had been rising steadily. In Niagara we had been seeing 15-20 new infections a day, but then the started rising rapidly and were over 150 a day a couple weeks ago but then started moving down. We have been under 100 a day for a week and today it was down to 34. |

Get notified with a date and time. Drive five miles and sit within a long line of cars. Nope. Every shot given to someone else reduces our chance of getting covid anyway. We have been in lock down for a month, since Boxing Day. New infections in Niagara had been about 20 per day for months but then climbed after Thanksgiving. They were worried about Christmas gatherings so the lock down started the day after. Within two weeks were were to about 150 per day. Now we are back down to the 30s. One bad experiment was locking down the hot spots. Toronto and surrounding regions were locked down in the late fall. As we had expected, the people from those areas headed out of town to regions where they could shop and eat in restaurants. Then our rates started to soar. |
