Default grocery store trip

Went there last Thursday and completely empty shelves of TP and paper
towels.

Went there this morning and plenty for everyone. Cool.
They do have a 2 package limit to prevent hoarding, thankfully.

I've seen comments on local Chicago food blogs about this, one quoted a Costco manager as saying, "It's like locusts descended on us..." Follow - up comments note that on return visits the stores are quickly re - stocked, some with quantity limits...

Me, I primarily shop online, if I see something that may in future be scarce, I order it...I am very well - stocked with all provisions so far...

Last Saturday they had plenty of paper goods, but some were weird
brands and the off-brand paper towels in particular looked really chintzy.
They didn't have my preferred TP, so I decided I'd wait until they have it
again. I've been keeping a little extra in stock ever since April.

Limit 2. It was also limit 2 in the meat department.

I went to Walmart yesterday and they had plenty of Bounty 'Select-a-Size' paper
towels. Not my choice of size of paper towels but I have plenty at home so it
was no big deal to me. In the same aisle is toilet paper and it was almost bare,
just a few packs. Thankfully, I did not need that either but I did not see any signs
with a limit to how many of either could be purchased.

That's probably why there was so little left. Here, there are no
shortages. There's also hardly any corona anymore. Knock on wood.

Well there's only one thing I can say about that.

Incorrect. Some of the idiots among us do not believe in a god.
