I get it. I'm a programmer, too. But there simply are things that hardware is not capable of doing. It's unlikely that you would _want_ to do anything of which the hardware is incapable, but I'm all too familiar with the limitations of computer hardware. We bump up against them all the time at work. The CPU clock speed is a hard limit. The number of floating-point operations per unit time is a hard limit. Cindy Hamilton |
