Default Very simple gluten free cookie recipe search

Can anyone provide a very easy gluten free cookie recipe? I tried a recipe
out of a recent book purchase yesterday. Wasted several hours. Instructions
didn't work. Total failure. Threw in trash.

Can you help?

TIA

I love a good meal! That's why I don't cook.

Maybe. This site is usually reliable:

<https://www.seriouseats.com/search?term=gluten+free+cookies>

You'll have to judge the simplicity for yourself. Bar cookies are
generally simpler than any other kinds.

two very easy ones that are good.

almond flour based chocolate chip cookies.

coconut macaroons (recipe on package of coconut in some
brands).

you can play around with either recipe and add things
you like if you don't like them plain.

i'll let you google for them. i don't store recipes on
the computer (i don't cook them often).

I have found that using a recipe for regular food is usually best for
gluten free with a few exceptions. Foods that require yeast to rise do
not work well with gluten free flours.

You take a regular recipe and substitute GF ingredients. You would
have to have a fairly good knowledge of all gluten free foods though.
If the package does not say gluten free then it is not gluten free.

what people do not realize is that gluten can be one of the leading
causes for colorectal cancer

To my knowledge rice contains no gluten.
Search Rice Krispies Bars.

The thing is you can find a source for just about anything. For
instance, I bet you can find that garlic causes blindness. Yes, you
can:

I always hope that someone will give me a reputable citation. But they
always turn up some junk science crap.

You'd think he has a reputable source, since he's so convinced. But

Could be something to it. They also say masturbation causes blindness.

TBH it is not a definite thing, it is a theory I am currently
researching that is all. Constipation is highly linked to colon
cancer. Gluten I can promise you is the #1 cause of constipation.
Hardly NO one and I do mean no one realizes that gluten is a direct
cause of constipation.

So far I am in the early stages of research but some of the things I
have learned are surprising.

I was constipated at least from puberty until I was over 40 which is
when I started the gluten free diet. A few weeks after I started my
constipation grew less and less, only when I had a gluten accident
(accidentally eating a food usually cross contaminated with gluten)
did the constipation return. I have been gluten free for several years
and only experience constipation very rarely. The things that cause my
constipation now are a gluten accident which is rare, and MSG (mono
sodium glutamate) which BTW is usually made from a highly processed
wheat.

my statement is simply things I have learned and pieced together.
Gluten is such a new thing the research is very limited. It is sort of
like marijuana. People are so stupid to believe that marijuana is just
as dangerous as cigarettes.

Well the fact that I oppose the belief in fairies and witches should
tell you right off that I am a good deal more intelligent than most.

If it is intelligence that you wish to project a good place to start would be to stop saying the same things over and over again. This won't make you any more intelligent, but will give you a facade of being smarter than you really are.

My guess is that repetitive behavior is probably a sign of a mental illness or some kind of developmental problem, as is continually blathering on about how smart you are. For more information on this please check your favorite news service for current events.

That however has nothing at all to do with my name or fairies for that
matter.

Here's one. You don't have to use the natural peanut butter but it will be
healthier.

If you like chocolate, you can melt down a candy bar or some chocolate chips
then drizzle that over the tops.

These days many companies are making all purpose "cup for cup" flours. 15
years ago you could buy some blends, but a lot of recipes called for
specific blends of flours and added xanthan gum. Baking was a pain then!

I have found that the best gluten free baked thing is brownies. You can't
tell that they're gluten free. Same taste and texture.

Better still, raw vegan brownies. This is not the exact recipe I used to
use. Mine had only the dates for sweetening. There are many variations of
recipes. Everyone who tried these thought they were baked brownies. You do
need a food processor though.

All cats are lactose intolerant so we buy Lactaid vanilla. ice cream,
a scant Tbsp is enough to mix with their liquid meds, a lot easier
than pills that they may bring up later unbeknownst.
