Meatloaf in the Ninja Foodi
 

Ok, those 2 pounds of extra lean ground beef (mystery meat) were turned into
a meatloaf with Italian bread crumbs, salt, pepper, eggs, onion, celery, bell
pepper, garlic, dried parsley, oregano, and a glob of chili sauce. I checked
two YouTube videos to see what type of pot they used and I went with the
crisper basket lined with aluminum foil.

Meatloaf is done and at the present it is doing a natural release and in a
few minutes I will manually release the pressure. Then I'll add chili sauce
to the top and do a sear/sauté with the crisper lid.

Green beans are simmering on the stove and I'll report back later to see how
well my efforts paid off.

I haven't made meatloaf yet this year. Sounds good.

Popeye, she ain't gonna let yoose sniff around her meat. Yoose are
gonna have to be satisfied with the old mexican woman.

Just spray her crotch with formula 409, and put on a mask ... yoose
will be OK.

Sorry, no pictures but I was pleased at how fast it cooked vs. the oven. Of
course once it was done it was awfully blonde looking until I put the crisper
lid down and let it brown on top for about 10 or so minutes. Then I used
the last of the chili sauce for a glaze on top and let that go for another
5 minutes.

Chili sauce is on Friday's shopping list for sure.

Are you talking about that chili-garlic sauce with the pic of the
rooster on the label? That's good stuff and I need to buy more

I just made and finished 2 in a row, back to back. That should
last me a year or two. :)
Next on the list maybe is lasagna.

LOL To think all this talk about chili sauce in meatloaf started when I
said I used bottled cocktail sauce in my meatloaf recipe. I really did
mean Heinz cocktail sauce, although the chili sauce works, too. :)

The reason I remember it was cocktail sauce is because I mailed the
recipe to my mother. My recipe stated add *half a cup* of bottled
cocktail sauce to the meat mixture. She read it as "add a bottle of
cocktail sauce". Oops! She called me and said the mixture was very
wet. Gee, ya think? Mom never claimed to be a good cook. It was nice
she tried my recipe. :)

I've no idea what's a Ninja Foodi nor do I care... just want to see
her meat loaf and see her recipe. Besides, she said she bought
preground mystery meat so what would a Ninja do, does it peel onions?

Hmmm. I've never tried the Heinz but I will someday.
You might want to try that one I mentioned too someday.

I've mostly used plain ketchup to top a meatloaf and all
it can take too. Once topped, those top pieces are always
the best part of the slices.

Also, do try the Jell-O with some vanilla ice cream
if you ever make it again. It's Jello++ imo.

Ninja Foodi aside, shall we go back through it?

Aside from the mystery ground meat you sauteed a miripoix of onion,
celery, bell pepper then added Italian bread crumbs, egg and various
herbs and made... meatloaf! Pics not required. Enjoyment, wonderful. :)

Cooked for 75 minutes on top of a meat loaf educates ketchup.
Add worcesthershire to it first and it has a college degree.
