For those of us hardy enough to live in a cold climate, spring is
welcome. After the long, cold nap of winter, the land comes alive
again.

well where I live there are 2 seasons, hot and hotter...

There are like 7 days a year when the temp gets lower but that is
about all.

And I'm not hardy enough to live there.

I'll leave that climate to you. I prefer it when the daytime high
is less than 70 and more than 0 F.

well I actually prefer the warm climate, where the nap of winter is
more like a cat nap or a doze and is about as long as a good football
game, where the land is always alive, where my parsley and chocolate
mint survive all winter long

True but I enjoy winter, besides some snow plowing winters give me a
break from constant outside sweat labor. I much prefer the four
seasons, I tried SoCal's and Florida's one season heat, one bone dry,
the other drippy humid, both suck. I'd not live in So Cal or Florida
even if someone bought me a palatial home. Parts of California have
some of the best weather but constant forest fires ruin it, make the
air unbreathable... attributed to the worst land management on the
planet; ignoranus politicos... there's mot a politician in all of
California with an IQ.... actually there aren't any residents there
with an IQ or they'd have departed those disgustingly FILTHY slum
cities.

The arrival of spring always makes me feel like a survivor. I don't mind
the cold and snow.... for a while. If I ran the world we would have
decent weather up to mid December. Then it would get cold, streams and
lakes would freeze over and we would get a little snow every day until
there was about 2 feet of accumulation. By New Years it would melt away
and we would be back to spring. The worst thing about winter is not the
snow and cold, it is only that it goes on for so long.

I always enjoyed one bit storm, at least 24". I did not mind clearing
it with the snowblower. What I did dislike was the days after of slush,
slop, sand, that seemed to go on forever.

We're predicted to get a little snow on Sunday, but that's a long way
out so I'll believe it when I see it.
