Intelligence and beliefs don't necessarily go hand in hand. People tend to say, "I'll believe it when I see it!" I prefer to say, "I'll see it when I believe it!" People say that I live in a dream world. And I do. Dream big and make it happen! That works for me. And I don't follow any religion at all. I aldo know very intelligent people who fail at simple life skills and have no social skills. Again, there is no one size fits all. |

I like to buy them from local vendors (usually a farm stand) when peanuts are in season. According to the SC Dept of Agriculture, they won't be harvesting peanuts until June. So I'll have to wait until nearly summer to get *local* boiled peanuts. About the soy sauce. You know me, I don't really want soy sauce in much of anything, much less in boiled peanuts. No chili powder, either. Oh, I can get spiced boiled peanuts. Chili flakes added to the brine. Me, I just want them nice and salty. As for the dry roasted, I don't want added flavours there, either. Not everyone has a gluten intolerance. I see no reason for every place to offer gluten-free choices on a menu. Can't deal with what they serve? Don't go out! Jill |

So I've been told [tasty] over the years. I don't mind sweet stuff in small doses but the idea of a chocolate hazelnut spread simply doesn't appeal. As for ice cream... if we're talking vanilla ice cream I prefer butterscotch, not a chocolate topping. So there's that. Jill |

They don't tell me because when we go out to eat they can *always* find something to eat. Be it a salad or a fruit plate I eat whatever I want to and they aren't offended if I order a burger. They don't preach about their food preferences. They certainly don't hop on RFC or any social media about being vegetarian or vegan saying no one understand them. Or that restaurants don't offer anything they can eat. Of course they do. There's plenty of gluten free food available. I've seen 'gf' notations on restaurant menus, which indicates gluten free. In supermarkets I'm seeing more items marked as gluten-free. So basically, the gluten-free crowd is already being catered to. Not something that affects me, but hey, it's widely available. You don't even have to peer at small print labels anymore. The words "Gluten Free" are often in quite large print. > Almost every restaurant or eatery now offers a vegetarian and a > gluten-free alternative. Often a vegan alternative as well. What a total hypocrite you are. WOW MOM Do you ever go back and read what you write? You, my friend, constantly put down everyone here that doesn't eat like you. You criticize eating meat, eating anything that's not natural or organic and might contain some chemicals that have big words that scare you. You don't eat meat because you "care about the animals." Yet you have no problem killing any animal that happens to live in the sea or the land predators. All are God's creatures, my friend. If you repect living creatures, you should respect them all, not pick and choose to suit your needs. We all know what you do and that's fine. No need to constantly criticize what others may choose to eat. It's you that I requested the Deet for but you knew that. It's the annoying 'Brucesquito'. A new species found in Australia. :-D |

I don't mind unsalted dry roasted peanuts at all, even though I like salt. They're tasty! I don't want weirdly seasoned peanuts. Or seasoned seeds (as in sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds; I snack on those, too). No thanks to Ranch, BBQ or whatever other things they've come up with. Salt only, please. Jill |

Nutella is the food that Americans love to hate. My guess is that it's because it's European and contains hazelnuts. OTOH, my guess is that kids like the stuff because of the large amount of sugar it contains and it's chocolate flavored. The great thing about Nutella is that you can shove the stuff in the general direction of your little darlings face to get them to shut the hell up and eat their breakfasts. That is, a very good thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl22YOOCreE |

That is, a very good thing. It contains palm oil. Soon, the orang utan will be extinct and nutella will be partly to blame. Nutella and Nutella eaters. <https://www.orangutan.org.au/about-orangutans/palm-oil/> (Y'all don't care, I know.) |

What I care about is getting the kids to shut the hell up and eat their breakfast. |

You can use it to frost cakes and as a topping on ice cream. The high sugar content keeps your kids in a dazed semi-ecstatic state. I suspect you can also polish your boots with Nutella. It's simply wonderful! |

Not poisonous. Just doesn't sound like a very healthy breakfast for children (or adults). Toast with a chocolate spread? |
