Breathing Ophelia's germs today?

Temp is 41f now and very windy from the NE....right off the
ocean. Perfect time to open all windows and doors and turn
furnace to air only.

Yoose with the nifty expensive air filters and never open
windows, you lose. Nothing beats fresh air coming in off
7000-8000 miles of open ocean air. It's the nicest, freshest,
natural and organic (heheh) "replace air" deal ever.

In winter times, this is your best "flu shot." Doctor told me
that and he knew and was right.

Florence Nightingale learned to open all windows and let fresh
air into a hospital and that reduced deaths from flu by 2/3.
She's famous for that realization.

So anyway.....brrrrrr.....I just closed up again and turned on
the heat.

You just watch...I'll probably come down with the flu tomorrow or
the next day, dammit. heheh

We're supposed to see 44 F on Saturday. Right now it's a
pleasant, sunny 25 F. I'll probably open some windows on
Saturday while I'm roasting a turkey.

I sleep with the window open every night throughout the winter, no matter how cold outside, I also have the fan on.

And Ophelia's role in this?

I have hot water baseboard heating, if I did that, it would freeze
then break and create a flood. I suppose I could leave the heating on
high to over-ride that happening, but my Scottish blood would never
allow me to do that!

Wind from the NE. Scotland is NE of here so your old air is now
my air. Just being odd, that's all. :)
