Default Tonight's dinner

I shall be roasting. Green beans with olive oil and parmesan. Sweet potatoes
with Italian seasoning. Also some sautéed asst. grape and cherry tomatoes
with a balsamic glaze, and some kind of meat to pour the tomatoes over. The
recipe said it works well with chicken or pork. Whatever I get a good price
on.

I roasted green beans with olive oil and garlic for breakfast
Actually, to take them to a potluck.

Dinner will be breakfast: scrambled eggs and toast

* My wife is fixin' dinner tonight , a dish with cannelini beans ,
sweet Italian sausage and cherry tomatoes . I forget what she calls it ,
I just call it GOOD . Probably a green salad to go with , I don't know
what she has in mind . I'll probably be baking bread this afternoon ,
since we're out of buns and have only half a loaf of bread left in the
freezer .

Alas, I didn't get to make that. Had a horrible storm again. Had another one
last Wed. Both times the power went out for about 5 hours. I was supposed to
take my friend shopping but there were so many fallen trees, downed power
lines and outages, she told me to come tomorrow instead. So... I made the
roasted sweet potatoes and kielbasa with lentils. Wish I had salad stuff but
I don't.

Green beans marinated with Italian seasoning in olive oil and lemon
juice or vinegar sprinkled with grated parm is excellent.

>Sweet potatoes with Italian seasoning.

Sweet potatoes with Italian seasoning is major TIAD... leave room in
your compost bin because no one will eat that shit. Baked sweet
potatos just need a little butter, perhaps some fruit preserves
(apricot) and/or maple syrup, if yoose got a sweet tooth. I'm happy
with just buddah, or nada. Got some nice yams to bake with my fresh
ham. Will be picking up my fresh ham manana and plan on roasting it
manana so my wife and I can enjoy it for dinner. Sunday she leaves
for Lung Guyland to spend Christmas with her sons and grands. I don't
go because someone has to cat sit and they really don't have good
sleeping arrangements. My wife gets to sleep on the couch. I really
don't mind spending a couple days on my own. And I'm very happy they
don't all pile in here, rambunctious kids are not good for my psyche,
plus they mess up my kitchen and take over the bathrooms... cats are
far easier/quieter. Today's kids are no kind of company, they're on
their cell phones 24/7... I've come to the conclusion that today's
kids and most young people are extremely mentally ill, anyone who
needs to be on line 24/7 and can't write without a keyboard and spell
check is VERY SICK.
Do yoose know that the US schools no longer teach penmanship... won't
be much longer Paper Mate etal. will go under. Very few young people
today can sign their name nor can they read, at best they can type a
password. But most importantly they are incapable of conversing...
perhaps they can conversate but I've no idea what conversate means...
maybe conversate is to conversation as masturbate is to sexual
intercourse.

Turns out that food didn't get eaten. Gardener was stuck out very late and
wound up stopping to eat because traffic wasn't moving. So the only thing
I'll be cooking tonight is the green beans. I'll probably make some mac and
cheese for myself. Will do the tomatoes tomorrow with chicken and either
rice or pasta.

I make them that way a lot. We all like them that way. They are just lightly
seasoned.

LOL Shades of the guy who was lucky enough to get divorced from her.
Make a mental note of this one because she will later deny having posted
it just like she denied complained about her husband stopping to eat
on the way home.

My husband did stop for Pho. Once. Not the same.

Gardener was legitimately stuck and I knew that. I didn't even leave the
house except for a quick to the drug store around the corner for food that
didn't need to be cooked and more batteries. I was supposed to go grocery
shopping that day and no way was I opening the fridge with no power.
