Today I went to the bakery and bought one slice of chocolate cake and one slice of carrot cake. It's conceivable we'll cut each one in half and swap so we can both have both kinds. Tomorrow, make the stuffing, stuff the turkey, roast the turkey, make the tossed salad, remove turkey from oven and eat all of the crispy skin while it rests, make the gravy, eat the salads, carve the turkey, eat the turkey, stuffing and gravy. Frankly, we probably won't have room for dessert. As a precaution, I might lobby for eating dessert in the middle of the afternoon. Cindy Hamilton |
