Default Dinner tonight 16/11/2018

Went to the market, bought everything already cooked tonight. Grilled
red snapper, purple rice (for me), some coriander, dill, basil,
lettuce cabbage and misc. other leafy greens. Some red and green
chilli sauce, corn, jackfruit for dessert.

Wife cooked an omelet and chicken for her sister's son... and some
jasmine rice for herself. With the beer, cost about AUD$6.

Welcome back from me too, Jebus. Your meal looks very nice. I'm
wondering what the dish on the upper left of your picture is. Is
that the omlet? That looks especially appealing to me.

Thanks Gary.

Yes, that's the omelet. Done Thai style, in wok. My omelets are
completely different when I make them. I should have arranged the food
for a better photo, but oh well. I noticed later there were noodles
and a few other veggies hiding under the others.

Â* My wife is having shrimp scampi over pasta and a green salad , I'm
sitting here with stomach cramps and other not-so-nice things going on
down there . I might eat later , might not , depends on if I quit
hurting . I've apparently picked up a virus or bugÂ* somewhere ...

Wow. That sucks. We had steelhead trout, home fried potatoes and
steamed asparagus. Dessert was butterscotch pie.

Remedies:

strong black tea, the leaves been in the hot water for 10 minutes, with
something salty (e.g. crackers)
a banana mixed with a cored and peeled apple
rice gruel
coca cola or pepsi with something salty
chicken soup
oat meal soup
peppermint oil applied to neck, head and stomach to prevent nausea

....and a lot of sleep with a hot-water bottle on your tummy.

Get well soon!

That's great to hear. I haven't been sick like that in years, but I do
remember it all too well. Not nice at all.
