It was highly recommended from someone here. Nasty stuff and a waste of money. Also recommended here once was their "Triple ginger snaps" with the tiny dollup of candied ginger on top. Good enough but still not all that and overpriced. I still use that old container for my cookie jar now though. Been to Trader Joe's twice and 2 strikes. Probably won't ever go again. Never been to Whole Foods either but I won't comment until I do try it. |

I have had a couple commercially made hummus products recently that weren't too bad, but more often they were horrible. I remember once being offered a sample in the grocery store and it was so horrible that I had to wonder why they would be letting people know how bad it was because I could not imagine people buy it after having eaten a sample. I discovered good hummus in a middle eastern restaurant that my son took me to. After see how good it could be I decided to try making it. It was so easy, and it was so good. |

It's due to only 2 main things that has me driver there. 1) unique flours for bread making at the least expensive price 2) fancy ends of various cheeses you don't see elsewhere, cut to small affordable taste tests. If i am there for those things, I will also get some of the fresh veggies and fruits |

There's a little "gourmet" place near me that sells a home-made type hummus in 250 ml (1 cup) tubs. I say home-made because the lid has a label that looks like it was done up on someone's home printer. Anyway, it's all natural, vegan, organic, etc, justifying the $5 they want for it. Doris |

For me, it's something I eat when I need something quick and/or grab and go. I get the little cups. My mom made some once. Not sure what she did wrong but it was inedible. |

I'd say that most adults smoked it at least once during the time frame that I mentioned. Smoking it a few times doesn't make you a pothead. |

We have a large Middle Eastern population hereabouts, and some of the commercial hummus is quite good. Cindy Hamilton |

Yes, but first i just wanted to try it when all the buzz started. Now I make all sorts of variations that suit us well. Some may not technically be Hummus? Can lentils be hummus? If so then that's what I have making up right now. Out a lb on to simmer with tandoori seasoning (suits us). Go a bit more to the fancier side and it would be Dal. |

Well in my case, I got a small tub to see if I would like it. I did then I looked up recipes and started making it. That was probably 5 years ago and have a fair number of variations now that we like. Since we make beans from dried all the time here, it's a natural leap to sift out some and toss in the old blender to pulse lightly. |

Chickpeas with tahini. > If so then that's what > I have making up right now. Out a lb on to simmer with tandoori > seasoning (suits us). > > Go a bit more to the fancier side and it would be Dal.
