You shouldn't be wandering through the moorlands in the dead of night searching for Heathcliff - you might find him there. Hee hee.

If that was even half as tasty as it looks, you win the soup
contest. Nicely done! That giant mushroom slice won my heart
immediately!

A few here mentioned they couldn't see the pic. I had problems
this morning too but if you just click around on a few things it
will finally appear. For me, I finally just closed the tab then
clicked on the link again and that time the pic came right up.
oh well

I boiled a whole chicken in water then I took that chicken out and added half a roasted chicken and cooked that down with celery and onion until it fell apart. That was a pretty good chicken stock.

That picture being so heavily cropped that you see none of the kitchen
it looks like it arrived from the local take-out... even cropped out
the plastic container. If he actually cooked it he'd show the big
potful on the stove... no one cooks just one portion of that kind of
soup. If I wanted to make the effort I could probably locate that pic
on a web site.

OTOH, I can always tell your photos are really real - they all look like it was taken by a grumpy old coot with no eye for photo composition at all. Hee hee.

What a faggoty never did any work hand, and filthy dirty
unclipped nails... and what's the POW slop in that 5¢ & 10¢ pot?
Someone with such filthy dirty nails never cooks, they're ascared to
put their hands in water. Hands are a mirror to the soul and you have
no soul. After seeing the POW slop in that 5¢ & 10¢ pot no effin way
you cooked that soup, it was definitely prepared at a take-out.

Yoose tell 'em, Poopeye! Yoose is the only person in the world that
cooks! Yoose cooks de rite way, in dem 100 gallon steam jacket kettles.

Oh, and everyone know that Bone in chicken is only made by yoose, when
you get excited preparing chicken breasts (DDD size), and yoose bones
them a few times before cooking.

Funny too because when I saw the pic of your bowl of soup and you
mentioned the odd square tortilla chip there, I immediately
thought that looked just like a Cheez-It cracker but I couldn't
remember the name for sure.

Last night, my tv guide told me that they were airing a program
featuring... Korean rice bowl, spider somethings, and Korean
fried chicken wings. I made a point to watch as you mention
Korean cooking often here and it interests me.

Very sadly, the tv guide was wrong and the show was about cajun
cooking....gumbo, beans and rice. I don't care for that cooking
much. If a wife told me beans and rice for dinner tonight, I
would work late then stop off at McDonalds on the way home. ;-D

You wiil probably feel ripped off... I suggest you buy the smallest
size to try it. Goya adobo is a simple spice blend consisting of
about 95% salt, with a little granulated garlic, black pepper,
oregano, turmeric, and tricalcium phosphate to prevent caking. I have
a 28 oz container I've been trying to use up for about 20 years...
it's really just ground/powdered salt.
Penzeys adobo is far superior, and contains no salt or chemicals...
can't cook rice n' beans without... fantastic on pork chops, and
refried beans.... sorta pricy nowadays because it's pure spices, not
weighted with salt. When I first used it was a 1 oz sample, some 20
years ago it cost about $5/lb... they no longer sell the one pound
size but I still buy their largest size:
https://www.penzeys.com/online-catal.../c-24/p-1/pd-s
I was one of Penzeys first customers, my Customer Number was 34, but
they changed it when they came out with a web site and a fancy
schmancy catalog.
I found them from a small blurb in the NYT food section, they had no
web site then and their catalog was like five pages of stapled
pink paper, typed on an ancient Underwood and mimeoed.

It's a very delicate paw. You can tell these creatures are light of foot. Interesting!

That's a negative attitude. Why would discovering something make me feel ripped off? In the end, you lose more than you gain by seeing things in that light. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
