*Pelts Terry with a dice of pickled beet*. That's right, beet! Let me just

It still is.

*Bats a carrot coin at Bruce, followed by another and another* Purple,

Doesn't the pink colour come from the feed that farmed salmon get?
Maybe Gary only buys wild salmon.

Do you know what I got at Fred Meyers? A few cans of P$$$t green beans
labeled assorted cuts. Those things were anything but organized, let me tell
ya. They should have formed a union years ago. Seriously. Long ones, short
cuts but thankfully no French. They were darned hard to eat. I took my
kitchen shears to the last can, trying to make them all small and added them
to soup. At least they were cheap!

I normally do plan my meals ahead of time but sometimes I will come up with
a whopper and not of the Burger King variety. Sometimes I just have too many
leftovers or something or some things that needs to be used up. Then there
might be a casserole, soup, or weird little dabs of things on a plate.

Ooooh! I love that. Thanks! Now to find some good fennel. Not always easy
find here.

I usually roast it. Not the powdered kind. The vegetable. Looks a little
like celery but not quite. Has a big white bulb and pale green fronds.

Sheesh. I got a visual of that and it wasn't pretty!

I once made a dish for Christmas that was most festive. Green beans, grape
tomatoes and potatoes roasted in the oven. I think the potatoes were small
gold ones. Must look for that recipe.

Thanks! Alas, I gave away my couscous. Didn't think I'd ever eat it. I like
it okay. I just like a lot of things better than that and for some reason it
seems hard to eat.

Pig: Amiability

I'm an ox.

That sounds delicious! I must try it. No recipe required - I would
roast everything in olive oil, with salt, pepper, and perhaps some
thyme.

That's what we call "leftover night" at my house. Two chicken wings,
1/2 cup of baked beans, one slice of frittata, and a little bit of
coleslaw.

We both get a bit of everything, and round out the dinner with salad
and some bread.

I have tried this recipe with different types of paper, and even foil,
and they all work ok, foil on its own being the worst but still ok.

Foil backed parchment sounds great because I always have trouble getting
the parcel to stay shut.

Interesting! I could have sworn that I made Harvard beets once but they had
