Why do you care? What does it matter to you?

I make them the way my mom made them when I was a kid. Just cut them in
thick slices or rings, removing the cores. Fry them until brown and soft in
a skillet with a little butter. You can serve them just like this but I like
to add a little cinnamon and sugar towards the end. Brown sugar is
especially nice. IIRC, you have Yellow Delicious. Not sure those would be
the best apples here. They might get really soft in a hurry. I usually use
Fuji for this.

I certainly did not. I said that he put the link to your page here. I didn't
say that he made a fake page.

Julie, we've generally gotten along but this 'facebook' crap is as
about as monumental to me as a forgotten hotmail email address. You
may live and breathe facebook but few here do I bet.

You will note I dont care that you once had a webpage at an ISP you no
longer use. In this case, something about 'facebook' seems to upset
you that it's not something I care about.

Sorry, we are very different.

Watch my meds? My meds are doing a number on my stomach. Not my brain. Let
me put it to you in simple English.

Steve put a link to a Facebook page in YOUR name. cshenk. And it mentioned a
one eyed beagle named Iowena. You yourself have mentioned this canine here
before.

You then said that you had forgotten about making this page and claimed that
you did it so you could take a look at RFC on FB.

But then you changed the story and said that you never had that page. But
you had another page in a fake name. I can't remember the specific reason
you gave there other than it had something to do with some guy.

You seem to be the confused one now. I side with Steve here. I don't know if
you deleted a page or account or whatever or not. And I really don't care.
But I am getting sick of all this back and forth with you saying one thing
then another.

Because if you are known to lie, then you can't be trusted. Or... Something
else could be going on. Like you are forgetting things. And if that's the
case, you could have some sort of issue that would need some looking into.

Yes, this was the page that for some strange reason really matters to
you. It was also a very wierd and disturbing thing to have Steve hunt
for.

Yes. I had forgotten.

Here, you miss a beat badly. You aren't reading messages in order
posted. Hence, you missed that once Steve found it, I acknowledged it
(but am mystified why he thought I removed i as I havent) and was able
to see i used it to find another person.

Julie, you are reading messages out of order.

THat is your confusion. You've even accused Steve of creating a page
in my name at this point. Not sure what is going on at your end, but
take care of yourself. It's not like you to do that.

Now you have a forgotten hotmail account?

Not one page but many. One at Cape Internet, one at Redshift, can't remember
the name of my ISP in CA but had one there and then at Verizon. I even did a
one page thing at Geocities. Is that even around any more? I didn't keep the
one at Geocities. At the time, everyone was doing that one because it was so
easy to slap up but I wanted something I could customize. See? I didn't
forget ANY of those things. Nor did I forget any of my emails. I have two on
Yahoo although Yahoo has now morphed into Frontier which is my ISP. And more
recently, I was required to get an account elsewhere. I will not get into
that here. Not now anyway...

See? I didn't forget any of those things. Oh! I ran a chat room too. Tabby's
Cat Chat on the now defunct Sneaker Chat. And I was a moderator on a forum
at a now defunct Internet community. No need to bring that up here. All long
gone. But I didn't forget it!

I put nowhere near as much energy on that remark as your did in your
response.

Maybe you haven't been around long enough to have been exposed to the
many other stories she has fabricated. There have been a number of them
where she got called on them, like her story about being a writer and
didn't know the meaning of the word "ignorant". Then she said she never
said she was a writer. Someone dug through her old posts and found
several where she claimed to be a writer. Then she said she didn't
remember writing them.

I don't really don't concern myself with her too much. I have her
filtered, but other people in here keep replying to her and posting her
bullshit. You can't have that stuff posted and the quoted over and over
without there being an opportunity to point out the bullshit. I can't
help if if the rest of the sisterhood of stupidity are so mentally
challenged that they don't see the lies and bullshit stories for what
they are.

I certainly have forgotten a lot of accounts. These are accounts that I sign up for and use infrequently. OTOH, these days, a lot of websites will allow you to log in using your Facebook or Google account. That's a very smart move.

A lot of people will accuse you of using Usenet for blogging. What they don't seem to realize is that you're doing that on purpose. I think it's a brilliant idea myself...

But then you turned around and tried to say that it wasn't you. Said you
only had a FB page under a fake name. So is cshenk a fake name?

How in the world would I read messages in the order posted? AFAIK there is
no time stamp on the posts that I see. And even if there were, that would be
a career in and of itself to sort them all out. Also, we all use different
servers and just because we send something, doesn't mean it will post
instantly.

Again, I have no way that I know of to view them in whatever order you think
they should be viewed in.

I absolutely did not. Perhaps I didn't word my reply well. I didn't accuse
him of anything. Merely pointed out that he put the link here to the cshenk
FB page. So which is it? Is cshenk a fake name and you only have that one FB
page? Or is it your real name and you have not only that page but the one
with the fake name?

I also don't see why it would be disturbing for him to look up your name.
That's what FB is for. So you can look up people that you know and connect
with them through it. And if you really did join the RFC FB page, there is
nothing disturbing at all because you are listed as a member.

They're obviously not forgotten as you mentioned them. Does Hotmail even
still exist? I never liked the sound of the name of it so used Yahoo as my
throw away account.

I remember that they once existed but I don't remember the part that
came before @hotmail.com.

What? The whole reason I put up my original website was to put some of my
poetry on it. My poetry was also featured on two other websites that no
longer exist. I most certainly have written things and have gotten things
published. Did you forgot about the time where I replied to everyone in
Haiku after someone (probably you) told me that I never won the USA Today
Haiku contest? I do remember that it was Gary who told me to stop and then I
did. And please do provide proof of where I said that I didn't know the
meaning of the word "ignorant".

I believe that the old and not currently being run diabetes website has my
picture on it and underneath features the words, "I am a writer" among other
things. I was writing a novel at that point in time that never got finished
and likely never will. My desire to write does come and go and I've been too
occupied with other things for the past many years to want to do it.

This also likely stemmed from the fact that someone (can't remember who now
but don't think it was you) accused me of making something up. To which I
replied something like (can't remember my exact words) that I was a writer
and if I was going to make something up, it certainly would be a lot more
interesting than that

You, Dave, have said tons of nasty things about me over the years and worse
still, nasty things about my daughter. You, Dave are nothing but a bully and
a boring one at that.

Oh ha! You live for bullying me. Not sure why.

Yes, people have accused me of that. Not sure what they mean by that as a
blog is a very specific thing and not something I'm into at all.

A blog is writing in an informal, non-literary, style. Mostly, people write about what's happening in their lives and their thoughts on various subjects. If you're not blogging on purpose, then you're doing it accidentally.

Blog sites come and go but Google Groups is an excellent choice for bloggers because the posts are indexed and searchable and the post retention goes back for decades. What blog site is able to do that?

She probably has me killfiled, but I've been trying to deflect some of
this to actual cooking for a while now. The change to Cauliflower, for
example. I posted what I made for breakfast/brunch yesterday. I posted
what I made for dinner tonight. <shrug>

Why do we need to know all your personal health problems

I won't use Google Groups. Hate it. I did used to go to a blog where the
woman made a different and gluten free Crock-Pot meal every day for a year.
I actually liked every one of her recipes that I tried. Some I did not try,
like chicken with honey, because they didn't sound appealing. But I quit
using her recipes as my daughter didn't like them. I think this might have
been during a time period when my husband was away.

While I do write about various other things in my life aside from cooking
here, there certainly are tons of things that I try not to bring up. Mainly
medical stuff unless someone specifically asks me something. I do post to a
couple of other Usenet groups for medical stuff and I do post there about
that stuff.

What I don't understand is that certain people (not necessarily here) have
accused me of using Usenet as a blog and have tried to get me to leave it
and start up a blog instead. I am just not interested in that. I would
assume that a blog, just like a forum or chat room would need a moderator
and my days of doing that are long over. I haven't the time or the patience
to do that again. My chat room was devised out of necessity. With phone
bills sometimes adding up to $500 a month, I couldn't afford to make long
distance calls. The chat room was free and anyone I knew who had a computer
could use it to talk to me for free. But then along came ICQ and other
messaging stuff and now I no longer pay for long distance calls. Not in this
country anyway. So no longer need it.

Take what back to Facebook? I'm not on the RFC group there. After all the
grief I get here, I certainly wouldn't be a part of that.

At the time, I had no website up and running. That's a fact. I only finally
looked when Cheri had looked at it and said that it looked like my website
but it wasn't all working. I have probably known Cheri for longer than
anyone here and I trust what she says. From there it took me a while to
figure out what had happened. I believe it was jinx who said that Frontier
FTPed the pages over. I had wrongly assumed that the website would end when
Verizon ended. Reason being that Frontier had new instructions for FTPing to
them.

By the time this all played out, I had a different computer and no FTP
program. There was/is no woe is me. And I don't believe that people here
misunderstand me at all. What I do understand is that for whatever reason,
the wackoberry Bryan who thankfully is no longer here was stalking me or
whatever the crud he was doing and put up a link to an old/outdated page
with my daughter on it, claiming it to be my website.

And after researching it, yes, it had been my website some years prior. But
it wasn't being currently run by anyone. I never forgot that I had a website
prior, but I did know at that point in time, I was not running one.

Now can we let it drop? It was a stupid waste of time when it first came up
and it is ticking me off now. It was just one of the many ways that some
here had to once again take pot shots at my daughter. My daughter who has
never even been to this group.

And neither did I. She was apparently claiming that I had originally said
that. I only said that you put up the link to the page.

What I meant was that you put up the link to that page. I have said that
repeatedly. You, Steve are the one who put the link here. How anyone could
get from what I said to mean that I said you constructed her page is beyond
me.

Okay fine. I assumed everyone would know what I meant. I stand corrected or
whatever. In no way did I think that you made a page with her name on it.
