Why? He happens to be a regular on the bread group.

He could be from Mars, but a link to a New York Times recipe is hardly
suspicious.

Real Cider is available in the U.S. Someone who objects to alcohol
could use apple juice if they wished.

I suppose - that would make it more simple

Are you sure you don't already have an account?

No, you don't have to. Nobody can force you! ;-)

Seriously: hitting "esc" often suffices.
"cancel", "not now", "later" and the like in the pop-up often help.
Or hitting the "X".

If you use Firefox: try plug-ins like Ad-Block Plus, Self Destructing
Cookies and Ghostery. Installing all of them won't hurt, but read the
instructions! Some features don't like each others' ones.
If you use an other browser and don't want to change that: There's a good
chance to find plug-ins to block unwanted pop-up windows.

Bye, Sanne.

He may well be. I would not know that because I do not read the bread
group. I am reluctant to open any links from new users. I can sort the
posts in various orders, so I shift to ordering by sender. In this case,
it was his one and only post in this group. As Taxed remarked, it
required log in, and that means giving personal information.

I used a made up email and a made up password and it opened. No
personal info asked for or given. Nothing was verified.
