I purchased a 20 quart Rival electric roaster oven to cook my Thanksgiving
turkey in this year. I have always cooked it in my regular oven, but this roaster oven was on sale and I thought it would be nice to have my stove oven free for other things. I have read the instruction book and I think I understand most everything about the roaster. However, one thing that is not addressed is exactly where it is safe to use the roaster. This roaster is metal and at times it will be heated to 400 degrees. Is it safe to just sit the roaster on a counter top? Does there need to be a certain amount of space around it for safety? For convenience sake, I would like for it to sit on the countertop basically right next to the wall, but I am wondering if it will get too hot and should be positioned more in the center of the counter. Thanks for any info. |
