We need free charging stations over here. The price of electricity is so high in Hawaii that most of savings of more efficient use of energy is lost. My guess is that the high cost of petrol and diesel makes electric a better deal in the UK.

I don't own an electric car yet, but I'd go with a Prius because they
don't depend on charging stations.
