That's a very interesting movie. Mostly it made people uncomfortable.

Not me. It was the only Jim Carrey (sp?) movie I ever liked.

I thought it was a pretty good movie - it was kind of scary because it's
real life horror - not fake slasher stuff.

character Carrey plays in the movie.

I saw Jim Carrey in a local comedy venue when he was just starting out.
He was really funny. His movies have been disappointing. I have to give
him credit for his acting in Man on the Moon. Not being crazy about his
movie performances, and really hating Andy Kauffman, I have to saw that
I was impressed with him in that movie. He was also good in Eternal
Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

He gets too over the top, which gets old after a while.

Actually, I agree with you there. I'd forgotten about those two
particular movies.

I liked him (oddly enough) in The Mask, and in The Truman
Show, where he was well controlled by the director. He's
a very talented man, but he needs a firm hand on the reins.

Yes, his over-the-topness needs moderation.
He's a lot funnier without it IMO.
