Rare Quahog pearl found in clams and linguini
served at restaurant.

If I owned the restaurant, I'd offer above
the market price for that pearl and put it
on display. Might even get some more publicity
like "Restaurant Pays Diner $2000 For Rare Pearl".
That would be worth whatever the pearl cost.
Maybe even change the name of the restaurant
to The Purple Pearl.

Being as I am a mid-lander, I have never eaten a quahog to my knowledge although I find them in my Scrabble competitions quite often.

When cooked nicely, they are great, sort of a big clam.

Actually all the different sizes are quahogs, a type of hardshell
clam. My favorite are cherrystone, raw.
