That looks like a toy! I love watching those Japanese guys make takoyaki
at Shirokiya. It looks like a complete mess but they're able to make it
come out nice. I wouldn't attempt to make it myself. I can't say if
white folks would find fried octopus balls very appetizing. Actually,
I'd rather watch them being made than eat them.

The chef is an artist to get that mess into a perfect ball like that.

I like octopus so no worries there.

Were those potato pancakes on the flat top grill?

The pancakes were cabbage pancakes. Hmmm... pretty darn strange if you
ask me. I guess if you put the right sauces on it, it's gonna taste
good. I had some sooji halva yesterday. It was a dessert made of cream
of wheat. If you put enough sugar in stuff, anything can be dessert!

Here's what I'm having for lunch at the moment. I wish I could get
excited over a cup of noodles. OTOH, it's a pretty good cup noodle.

You're right about not having control over others. Someone asked a
question and I responded. Had I known about your post, I would have not
posted. This was not a case of malicious thunder-stealing!

I've never had the balls (which are made in what reminds me of an
ebelskiver pan), but octopus is tasty. I can't bring myself to
prepare it, but I'll eat it if it's set in front of me.

Good catch on the "other name" for that insert!

Ditto that.

Boiled and then grilled or fried it's very tasty.
