Are the ones at your Costco sold for $4.99? Mine are and that makes
them just a smidge more than buying whole chicken at Costco for $1.08.

Same here, but not often. I find it incredibly useful for the times
when someone I know has suddenly taken sick. I can stop at Costco and
pick up a chicken and a few sides for a very quick meal for them, or,
I can take the chicken home and make a quick soup or hot dish from it.
It works well when one is short on time.
