You know Paleo lifestyle, right?

Also known as "caveman diet" or "hunter gatherer diet", this increasingly popular lifestyle is actually a back-to-roots kind of thing. The essence of Paleo is eating only things that our ancestors used to eat. If it was right for them, it's right for us!

That means, no processed foods, no unhealthy fats, and no refined sugars! If you can keep these poisons out of your body, you will start feeling much healthier and vigourous within a matter of weeks.

What about the Paleo Cookboks?

For anyone who's getting started in the Paleo ways, or even for seasoned veterans, the "Paleo Cookbooks" can be a great source of information. This is actually the Paleo Cookbooks.

Paleo isn't common sense.

How do YOU know? What evidence do YOU have that they died young?

There is no evidence that they had short lives, though certainly some of
them had accidents and got eaten by other animals. It used to take about 16
years to reach sexual maturity. Then another nine months to produce a baby.
They breast fed for years. This keeps the prolactin level high, which makes
it hard to get pregnant again. Then include infant mortality. If the life
extended only to about 40, as a race we would have died off.

We know two things about their life expectancy: One is looking at their
bones and teeth they look like bones of a 40 year old today. This does not
mean they were 40! They did not have the diseases of civilization that now
plague us. So no reason to expect their bones to degenerate like ours do
today.

And second, based on menopause being nature's way to not have a woman waste
the effort of raising a kid and dying before they were self-sufficient, one
can assume that they lived to about age 70. Female elephants also go
through menopause -- at around 50. It takes about 20 years for an elephant
to be on its own. And you will find that their life expectancy is 70 years.

What was different that would make their diet not the optimal one for us
now?

Ha, ha. I caught you. Your comment was meaningless. You were just spouting
off. Just because pollution is greater today, doesn't mean that the foods
pushed on us today are better for us. They are more profitable for the food
industry, and that is why they push grains. In business profits are
inversely correlated to the amount of labor, and growing grains requires
almost no labor.

Maybe it was imputed with reckless abandon - you know, the same way you
accuse Julie of things she has never done.

Let me guess, their fossil record looks to be 40, yet your thesis is
they lived to the same age we do?

Seriously?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...years-ago.html

Grandparents are a relatively new phenomenon, researchers said today.

Until around 30,000 years ago, mankind's ancestors had lifespans that
were too short for three generations to live side-by-side, according to
a study.

Simply, most people died before they were old enough to have grandchildren.
Anthropologist Rachel Caspari said that by examining Neanderthal dental
records, her team established that 130,000 years ago, 'no-one survived
past 30', which was the age at which they would have become grandparents.

The study, which involves fossil remains from 768 individuals, has been
calculating the ratio of older to younger adults in ancient human
societies down the millennia.

In the Neanderthal culture there were just four adults past the age of
30 for every 10 young adults. The average life expectancy was between 15
and 30.

Early man: The descendants of the first humans to leave Africa thousands
of years ago shrank to little more than 1,000.
Early man: Until relatively recently, very few humans lived long enough
to have grandchildren

However, when researchers turned to the European humans of the early
Stone Age, they discovered that the ratio of older to younger adults was
20 to 10, meaning that many people were now living to have grandchildren.

Scientists have concluded that 'adult survivorship soared very late in
human evolution', but have so far been unable to explain the phenomenon.

Virtually EVERYTHING!

Climate, lifestyle, habitation patterns, dominant genetic traits, etc.

Please, tell me you're joking here.

OK, you're clearly as nutty as a Snickers bar.

Oh good grief, it's all a conspiracy hatched by General Mills, eh?
