Batter bread with no egg or milk!
This recipe does call for butter as desired on the top but none in the
bread. And it can be baked in a casserole. So... Yay! I am already envisioning the variations. But it does call for bread flour and I don't have that. I know that King Arthur sells it online but can you get it in a grocery store? Thanks! http://www.redstaryeast.com/our-best...e-batter-bread |

I'm still waiting for them to stock White Lily, but I guess we don't have enough Southerners around here for that to happen. :) -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

Oh, I did see a Coinstar the other day. It's next to the gambling machines on an L part of a wall that protrudes and you don't see what's on it unless you turn your head and look specifically at that area as you pass by. Wasn't able to use it up in time. There were only perhaps 2 cups left. I made blonde brownies with it but they weren't liked. :( |

Ahem. The recipe does not call for all purpose. It calls for bread flour. If you don't know the difference, then perhaps you don't belong in this thread. I do know the difference. I could make my own. I'd just as soon buy it. |

Same - same to me, but if you backed me into a corner and told me to pick which one I liked better - I'd say All-Purpose. A softer flour would be pastry flour. Your point is valid. Any brand bread flour will do. Gold Medal Better for Bread is generally available and considered a good choice. Janet US |
