avocado rehash
Just wanted to say that hubby used half an avocado yesterday and refrigerated it in a baggie. He didn't do anything special to it (no pit, no coating the surface with lemon juice). Today, you'd never know it wasn't freshly cut - so I'm having a hard time understanding what all the problems and discussion about storing avocados is all about. -- All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt. |

Probably some people just put a cut avocado in the 'fridge without it being covered and then get upset when it turns to that ugly brown. |

I guess with a baggie you can squeeze most the oxygen out? It also turns fairly quick when I load it with hot salsa and soy sauce for a quick attempt at guacamole; though it slows it some. |

Can't trouble shoot what you did. I don't add salsa or soy sauce. A good squirt of lime and a little salt is all I need. I can only tell you not to make more than you can eat that day. -- All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt. |
