There was one of those rocker thingies in the place we were renting. I discovered it by accident but nobody else knew about it. I guess it would be a good place to stash your dope.

I put mine in 20 years ago; got them from Home Depot and they are quite handy. Removing those two front panels was a bit of a chore but smooth sailing after that. If I'd had my wits about when I had new kitchen cabinets installed I would have had those false front removed _before_ the sink was installed.

That looks like a lot of work to me for very little reward. Sure you could
put a few things in there but it hardly looks worth it to me.

my all time favorite element of my kitchen remodel are the "dope
drawers" hidden in the toe kick space of the cabinets. Unless you knew
they were there you'd never notice, yet they provide plenty of storage.

I couldn't make it out at first because when kitchen fronts here have a
drawer front, usually it's the front of a real drawer :-)

Are those false-drawer fronts usual in USA?

Not really. Custom kitchens can nickel and dime you to death.

Understand that we are talking here about the sink cabinet.
The panels are for a consistent look but there is no room
for an actual drawer behind it. The sink is behind the
faux fronts.

They seem to be now, in front of the sink. Not sure why they are there but
must have something to do with sink installation.

I have two false drawer panels facing the kitchen sink. Yes, the sink
is right behind them.

I also have some false drawer panels on one side of the kitchen island.
When I first got here, silly me, I thought they were actual drawers.
Turns out the actual drawers side butt up right up next to the fake
panels when closed. They're some very long drawers.

The cabinets underneath in the kitchen island do have doors which open
on both sides. The cabinets are through and through. That is,
accessible from either side. Lots of storage space. Food items are
stored on the side closest to the stove. (I do have some organizers in
there, small lazy susan's for things like Worcestershire sauce,
teriyaki, small bottles of things I use sometimes.) My every day dishes
are stored in the other side of the cabinet, nearest the sink and the
dishwasher.

As a former cabinet maker, I was building those back around 1988.

No, no... when you look inside there's not much there. ;)

And some bras do indeed have hinges of a sort, built into their straps
and clasps

Obviously you never looked at anything larger than a padded B cup...
when you get up beyond the Double Ds they're built like suspension
bridges; rivets, expansion joints, sway bars, cables, hinged clasps,
many even have toll booths to enter like the Varazzano! ;)

I wore a 44F when pregnant and breast feeding. Those bras were no different
than any others except that they were larger and the breast feeding ones had
a flap that snapped closed at the top. I have never worn a padded bra.
I've never needed to. And the name is Verazzano.

to DIY existing false fronts into storage.
